Aimpoint Micro T-2
The Micro T-2 is a legendary device, fielded by the top military units of the world and extensively battle tested. It’s the gold standard by which other red dots are judged.
The T-2 offers insane toughness, performance, battery life, low profile, reduced weight and excellent night vision application.
The T-2 we sell comes without box or mount. We do not believe the ruggedness of Aimpoint’s LRP mounts are on par with their devices and we encourage end users to seek alternative mounts such as Spuhr, Scalarworks, Geissele, Reptilia, BCM, Daniel Defense, Unity Tactical, Arisaka, etc. in the desired mount height.
IMPORTANT: Do not use Loctite 243 or any other threadlocker on the mounting screws of the T-2, due to the heli coil screw insertions.
What are the differences between the T-2 and the PRO?
- Their mounting footprints are different
- The T-2 uses CR2032 batteries, the PRO uses DL1/3N or 2L76
- The T-2 has a better light transmission (70% as opposed to 60%)
- The T-2 transmits a wider range of wavelengths of the visible light spectrum (420 to 900 nm, instead of 420 to 700)
- The T-2 has 20,000 more hours of battery life (circa 2 years)
- The T-2 is lighter and more compact
- The PRO has a Comp-style intensity adjustment knob, the T-2 has a side wheel-type adjustment
What are the differences between the T-2 and the CompM4 series?

- The T-2 uses CR2032 batteries, the CompM4 use AA
- The CompM4 has 30,000 more hours of battery life (circa 3 years)
- The CompM4 have 3 more night vision intensities available
- The CompM4s are larger and heavier
- The CompM4 have a Comp-style intensity adjustment knob, the T-2 has a side wheel-type adjustment
What are the differences between the T-2 and the CompM5 series?
- Although they share the same footprints, the CompM5s and CompM5b sit at a slightly taller height
- The CompM5 uses AAA batteries instead of CR2032
- The CompM5 is larger and heavier
- The CompM5 have a Comp-style intensity adjustment knob, the T-2 has a side wheel-type adjustment cap
- The versions of the CompM5 with low battery compartments (CompM5s and CompM5b) sit slightly higher on the mount
- The CompM5 have a Comp-style intensity adjustment knob, the T-2 has a side wheel-type adjustment
