Aimpoint optics are possibly the best reflex sights in the world. However, their LRP mounts are not up to this standard, as the screw can cause the quick-detach system to break, and the lever is susceptible to impacts and forces. Even without breaking, this can negatively impact the zero of your weapon.

Due to this, there are many aftermarket solutions for reliably mounting Aimpoint red dots. Spuhr, from Sweden, offers some of the most rugged ones. The FBI’s HRT, as well as Lithuania’s anti terrorist unit ARAS, are some of the end users of Spuhr mounts.

This mount weighs 91 grams and will place the centreline of an Aimpoint Micro optic at 42 mm (1.653 inches) above the Picatinny rail. With an Aimpoint Micro on a standard AR weapon, this would leave the iron sights at lower third cowitness. With Aimpoint CompM5s and CompM5b, the height would be 2.04 inches, due to these optics being 10 mm higher.

It includes a mount, a Picatinny clamp, two long Tx20 screws for the clamp (torque 25 inch/lbs or 2.8 Nm) with washers, and four short screws for the optic (to be torqued until felt tight). We recommend using Loctite 243 on the threads of all screws, except on the 4 small screws of the Aimpoint T-2, due to the heli coil inserts.

This mount is compatible with the Aimpoint Micro footprint, used by:

- Aimpoint Micro H-1

- Aimpoint Micro H-2

- Aimpoint Micro T-1

- Aimpoint Micro T-2

- Aimpoint CompM5 - however, the CompM5s and CompM5b will sit 10 mm higher than a Micro or regular CompM5(h)

- Primary Arms Micro Dot

- MAKdot S 1×20

- Blaser RD 17

- Vortex Crossfire

- Vortex Sparc AR

- Holosun 403 line (except the A version)

- Holosun 503 line

- Holosun 515 line

- Holosun 530 line

- Sig Sauer Romeo4 line

- Sig Sauer Romeo5 line

Exact heights may vary, always check manufacturer specs.
