B&T Blast Deflector .223/.308 for A2 flash hider – Rotex X interface

Short carbines are very convenient for certain applications requiring compact weaponry. One of their major downsides is the magnitude of the muzzle blast, which can be extremely disruptive for the shooter and his team, especially in CQB. A large muzzle blast will also be more revealing of the position of the shooter.

A suppressor is the best way to tame a muzzle blast, but it also comes with downsides, such as more weight, length, and violence, temperature, pressure and dirt in the action of the weapon.

A blast deflector will tame the muzzle blast of the weapon by redirecting it downrange rather than allowing it to expand sideways. This provides a measure of comfort for the shooter and his team.

It will not noticeably increase the length or weight of the weapon, nor the violence, temperature, pressure and dirt of the action.

This blast deflector has a crown shape in its fore end, designed to act as a glass breaker. It is compatible with NATO A2/STANAG flash hiders. The mounting interface is Rotex X, the upgraded version of the Rotex V.
